Clear Regional News welcomes thoughtful pitches that help general readers understand how regional landforms, routes, boundaries, names and shared landscapes connect places.
What to pitch
Propose one focused article question about regional geography. Strong ideas explain a connection, compare distinct ways of reading a landscape, or clarify a geographical term through a concrete example. The piece should work without specialist advice, local rules or fresh statistics.
What to include
Send a short summary of the central idea, the category it might fit, the material you would use to support it, and why the subject suits Clear Regional News. Mention any relevant interests or existing commitments. Do not send confidential material or present unsupported claims as fact.
Sending a proposal
Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A proposal is not a commission, and publication is not guaranteed. Please do not submit a complete article unless it has been requested.
A region makes sense in relation
A line on a map rarely tells the whole story. We look at the land, names and routes around it to see what connects places and where the boundaries matter.
